We have not had a lot of days in the last couple of months that allowed us a clear view of Mount Baker. Many days were obscured with smoke from forest fires, and many with cloud or mists, so it feels good to see the snowy peaks again.
We grabbed a lunch snack from a grocery store deli and took it to Royal Bay for a picnic lunch. Mount Baker in the distance. Cruise ship parked by home. Driftwood Creation's mastodon & calf.
Credit Jan for the collage pics. & aviary & tortoise-ery & & &... We did not see the huge iguana today, but one lives there, too. I just love the funky way the stick insects walk! No, this is not an Australian spider web! I am still in Canada, but I almost did not make it out of my garage, past this beauty.
Still keeping an eye out for autumn color in our trees. And, still loving the $5 burgers at QF. Dropped the car off for scheduled maintenance, & strolled downtown. The hordes of tourists seem to have finally diminished.
Urban garden box project seems to be doing well. This was not a planned full moon photo-shoot, we just happened to be on West Saanich Road at this hour of the early evening.
Just a short walk at Gorge park today, to see the progress of Autumn colors - we have a while to wait.
Soup was good! With Christmas 'stuff' starting to fill space in some stores, I thought I best show what some hardware stores have available for Halloween decorating.
Downtown, briefly. Just watching some harbour action from Wharf Street. Blackball Ferries - The Coho - arriving from Port Angeles.
