Fluffy white clouds & deep blues sky - love it!
A vibrant and very vivid veggie display at Sobeys. I ve never seen peppers displayed better. Lunch for three at Halong Bay Noodle House. Well, the cougar did not get me. Cabela's stores have excellent taxidermy displays of Canadian wildlife. Like walking through a natural history museum - except that you can buy camping, fishing, & hunting gear.
Five Guys eatery is in the same shopping area, so we sampled the burgers. Next time we will split the order. It is nice for me to visit things I have made in the omes of friends. The wooden box & the blue Glass box are in Edmonton, and the last collage is in St. Albert. Early morning dew on massive spider web accumulation on the huge spruce tree (2nd gallery) and more farm rust (3rd gallery) added to birds (swallows & magpies) and gophers helped make this a 350+ picture day. BUT, it was a big day on the farm because we were celebrating a family birthday! Early morning webs More farm rust
Ride-share with Fran (picture with the bear) to the Bonnyville farm for her mom's birthday weekend. Landscapes road-scapes, revisiting farm rust and some things I made.
Jennifer found a rusty chain for me, and we had a brief visit with Marc, Diane, Kassandra, and Luke.
Started off at Accent Inns in Kelowna - soon to become the world's second Hotel Zed. Found the best cherries EVER at a fruit stand on the way out of town. The route took us through Vernon, Sicamous, Revelstoke, Golden, Lake Louise, and Banff. Mountains all the way.
Maria Cat greeted us with typical (wonderful) aloofness in Calgary! Early morning exit, as the car was packed last night. Moon setting at sunrise as we passed the sea-wall on Dallas Road. First ferry from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen. New South Fraser Perimeter Road and the surprise Merritt to Kelowna super highway got us to our first destination way ahead of expectations. Found an aboriginal cafe specializing in bannock (traditional fry-bread) so had lunch there. Explored some Lake Okanagan parks and drove sight seeing around Kelowna. All new to us as it has been a few decades since we were here last.
