It is way late in the berry season, but on a whim we decided to got see the situation at our favorite blackberry bramble. To our surprise, there were still treats to be had! A few went from bramble to bouche (mouth), but I will leave the rest for the bear, birds, bees & wasps.
Looking back from Atkins Station we could see a cruise ship berthed at Esquimalt shipyard.
And then it was lunch at Turmeric Indian Buffet.
Driving toward home after lunch, we went for a waddle along The Gorge Waterway to sample more fall colors.
It is great to be here for a bit of the OFF season. We are able to park & do things that are always too busy in the summer. The flashy art installation is at McNeill Bay.
The last 3 pics are from the top of Gonzales Hill - at the end of a narrow track that I don't attempt in the high season.
