This is the day we tried out our new James Bay clinic. I am happy to be "attached". While Jan had her turn at using the new system & new facility I walked around a few blocks.

...make an omelet without breaking some eggs. One might likewise say you can't clean a garage without making a mess. In our case, we also can't clean a garage without a visit to Canadian Tire for new work benches/tables and new battery power tools! :)
Took our poutine from La Belle Patate to MacAulay Point Park. While we shared our lunch tray we watched a harbour seal munch on a fish head shared by one of the returning boaters. The local goose gang came by to hang in our driveway again this morning. After they went on their way,we went ours. Up the peninsula to Marsh Farms & Dan's Market on Oldfield Road (that's where the billy-goat lives,).
Home to wispy clouds. Quietly sipping first coffee. Jan says: Wanna see how busy Butchart Gardens is at opening today? ZOOM. Opens at 9. We arrive at 9:15. NO, lines. Almost no people. Lovely to walk around & not feel rushed or crowded. But, by around 10AM, number of visitors started to increase, so we wandered off to the rest of the day relaxing at home. And, second coffee! Late summer blackberry season, that is. Only a couple of residences on this dead-end road, so usually undisturbed time in the briar-patch.
Sounds like something the Adam West Batman might say, but I really like the look of this fine animals boots.
Good neighbors let you add stuff to their garage sales. I have some good neighbors that helped me get rid of some of my garage clutter in the form of CDs & DVDs.
Weird sky across the street, so I walked over to take a closer look. Morning fog limited visibility in the early morning.
No-touch bottle refund. I like it. Ain't technology grand!?! Stopped at Dominion Park. Cool cones! Went through the Dallas Road construction to see some of the new sections of completed pathway. Down the stairs to Fonyo Beach & back up the hill. Around the corner at Douglas Street. Back home & feet up! |
