I reckon this matters, too!

Good morning light coming in for pics of cactus flowers & glass butterflies. Admiring cherry trees while downtown for some extremely rare need-to-do-in-person banking. Then, poutine to go to the sea for lunch. And, seeing as how we are out with the car, let's go see what is happening at Hatley Castle (not much!). Ended the day with a sunset walk.
Old friends from our ex-home city were on the coast for work, and we arranged an outdoor visit & catch-up before they left. Victoria put n a real show for them, with weather finer than any of us expected.
The lagoon drift-logs are surreal. The solitary swan is sad, but very real. Alas, the butterfly is screwed!
Yellows, shades of pink to reds, or whites. Freesias, daffodils, cherries/plum/etc., magnolias, or camellias. Take your pic (But not you pick!)
The time has come, Covid pandemic or not! Our cute little car was good for a decade, but we think it is time for an upgrade - bells & whistles, & ooh, shiny! Well, we have started looking, so likely will post about new vehicle soon (ish). We walked along our side of the harbour to the Lege grounds. Horses & carriages are out for the tourists (!). Dome through cherry blossoms. Ducks on water. One very noisy woodpecker grabbed my attention as it drilled holes into the wood trim on a house close to ours. Down to the docks, along the cliff-side, inland through neighborhood streets, & back to the Dallas Road scenic route. We don't usually walk on the breakwater on weekends, but the unsettled weather seems to have kept the early Saturday morning crowds away. So, we went out to the lighthouse, and have the picture to prove it. Honest, that's us in the selfie with the lighthouse in the background!
