The herons in my neighbourhood are nesting. Flowers bloom everywhere. Now it is fawn-lily season. One of my neighbours sells produce - it's nice to support local!

A ship-shipping ship shipping ships, or, as another person calls it: Boaty McBoat-boat. Also, a marine spill response vessel.
And then, streets of blossoms. We walked by one of my favourite trees, a gum with mottled trunk. A little later, I noticed an unorthodox door-wreath. I gave it my best squint-eye look, but could not make out what it was. Perhaps because of the nearby Eucalyptus tree, I thought it might be a gum-nut cluster. Boy, was I off the mark! Zoomed in on the Halloween style electric eyeball wreath!! Bird, bird, bird - bird's the word! Heron posed to fish on the deep side of the dock. Word! Here's another word: poutine. ! Poutine is the word. Word! Saxe Point and sunshine made it extra special. :) ;) :) Stopped along the West Shore/Songees walkways and again at Beacon Hill Park. Spring flowers, ducks, & squirrels. Interesting clouds & colour for sunup. There were a few sea-lions out by the lighthouse, but as usual, they did not linger at the surface. Their presence might be a reason the little harbour seal was sort-of cooperating with us taking pictures & videos. More building, less mountain across from the Costco gas pumps. More brush removal & re-landscaping inside the breakwater.
Moe cherry blossoms More monkey tree blooms. More books in more tiny libraries. And even more cherry trees! |
