Followed the water to downtown. Decided to check out the new segregated bike lanes on Government Street, and then wandered around to admire the Victorian & steampunk architecture.

Walk along Dallas Road bluffs to Beacon Hill Park where peacocks displayed. One little lizard a the U-pick farm. Otter fan should love this post. On our breakwater walk this morning we were entertained by a family of otters doing otter things amidst the big drift logs at the start of the walk.
Nice early morning breakwater walk. Had such a fine time with a local otter family that I made a separate post for them!
My bike took me up the Goose as far as Luxton Station, a 44km effort. Our tradition when we drop the car off for routine maintenance is to go for a walk. Today we tours outdoor artworks in Rock Bay & the section of the Galloping Goose Trail that goes across the Selkirk Trestle. The little video captures a raccoon getting off the beach & heading into the bushes. A ship-shipping ship pulled into Ogden Point to unload two new fast passenger ferries that are destined for the Nanaimo/Horseshoe Bay route. They will spend a couple of weeks over at Point Hope Marine getting tuned up & tested.
Jan farewells the house-cat & we bid adieu to Merrill & Barb. We are very early at the ferry dock & have lots of time to watch many jellyfish before boarding the Cathlammet bound for Southworth via Vachon.
