It has been rainy & the ground must be saturated, as there were earthworms all over the pathways.

Early morning walk. No spectacular sunrise colours. No exciting animal encounters. Just step counters!
In this case the far side is the other side of the inner harbour than usual. To get there we went up Government to Chaham, and then don past the new Janion re-buildings and across the new bridge. Bird-life included heron cormorants, mergansers, and a very vocal purple finch (according to a G. image search). We walked the water's edge to Cook Street Village. Empire Donuts were open! Go figure? Walked through Beacon Hill Park & got home with all sweets unsampled.
The NHL chose Victoria this year for this very special event. We walked downtown to Ships Point, looked at the crowds, and went for lunch. We tried an Asian place at the Bay Centre food court. It has been on our 'gotta try this sometime' list for a long time. It did not disappoint, so it is now on our 'gotta do this again sometime list! |
